Welcome to the webpage home of our Littlest Lakers!

The Lakeland Preschool program opened in 2019 and has been thriving ever since. We have two campuses; one at Wolcott Mills Elementary and the other at Lima-Brighton Elementary. Our programs are certified by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, and have both achieved an Indiana Paths to Quality rating of 3. This is a high quality program, getting high quality results!

Lakeland School Corporation Preschool Mission: Our mission is to create the best initial school experience possible for all students both academically and socially.

Lakeland School Corporation Preschool Vision: Lakeland Preschool will develop learners that are excited, curious, problem solvers who can apply knowledge to unique situations independently and collaboratively.

Lakeland School Corporation Preschool Program Philosophy: At Lakeland School Corporation Preschool, we believe that all children can learn. We provide an engaging environment where children learn and grow through play. We believe that preschool should be child-oriented with the teacher acting as a facilitator for learning and creativity. We feel that children are active learners and encourage a “hands on” & “minds on'' approach to learning. We strive to promote academic, social, and physical development. We aspire to build the foundation for how children perceive themselves; engaged learners, confident individuals, and caring members of our community. We feel this is initiated by their early experiences and by building a strong foundation we will increase the likelihood of our children becoming productive citizens.
